Los resultados positivos, negativos o inconclusos brindan la oportunidad de profundizar en el análisis de las situaciones objetivas desde el territorio ante la magnitud de la problemática global. La iniciativa es original al ser concebida y liderada por una entidad regional, la Gobernación de Nariño, y tiene las bondades de haber logrado, la efectiva articulación de los tres niveles del Estado y el apoyo de la cooperación internacional. Al involucrar al liderazgo local con una alta participación comunitaria, se redujeron los cultivos ilícitos de coca y se incrementaron los cultivos lícitos, especialmente de café y limón. Sin embargo, la sostenibilidad de la sustitución sigue siendo un reto que aún no se logra resolver.This research examines the effects of the voluntary replacement of illegal cocaine crops called “Si se Puede” in the Leiva, Nariño area. The primary focus of this research is human security. The positive, negative or inconclusive results present the opportunity to delve deeper into the analysis of the situation from the perspective of the local territory inside the framework of the global problem of drug production. The initiative is the first to be conceived and led by a local entity, the government of Nariño, and has the benefit of having succeeded, the effective articulation of the 3 levels of the state, and international cooperation and support. By involving local leadership and high community participation, the illegal cocaine crops were reduced, and the legal crops such as coffee and lime were increased.
