dc.description.abstract	Se realizó un estudio que permitió desarrollar un instrumento diagnóstico a la capacidad de aplicar conocimiento de los estudiantes de primer semestre del programa ingeniería electrónica de la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana en el periodo 2019-1, siendo una gran oportunidad para dar seguimiento a los estudiantes y tener una herramienta de control al proceso de evaluación del modelo de acreditación ABET. Con una ruta metodológica de tipo mixto deductivo-descriptivo se dividió el proyecto enmcinco fases, la primera de ellas se enfocó en la recopilación y selección de información la cual arrojó un interesante cruce entre el outcome 1 del criterio 3 students outcomes (Resultados de Aprendizaje) del modelo de acreditación ABET, los estándares del Ministerio de Educación Colombiano, el perfil de ingreso al programa de Ingeniera Electrónica de la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Cali y el nivel de aplicación de la teoría de la taxonomía de Bloom. La segunda fase de diseño del instrumento tuvo su núcleo en la matriz resultante de la primera fase, con gran énfasis en el diseño de preguntas que miden las competencias y capacidades que el estudiante en su momento de ingreso tiene debido a su formación secundaria y así contextualizar la prueba al nivel de habilidades que los estudiantes presentan al momento de ingreso. La tercera fase de aplicación y análisis de resultados evidenció el nivel de compromiso de los estudiantes y resultados que se exponen por ítem, estudiante y aptitud, en el análisis se optó por aptitudes, con el objeto de abordar la generalidad de las capacidades, y no por ítem o pregunta ya que estos son específicos a una unidad temática. Como consecuencia de lo expuesto anteriormente se evidencia la gran utilidad de aplicar instrumentos diagnósticos a los estudiantes en su proceso formativo y así generar una vía de control con el objeto de mejorar la calidad educativa y tener importantes indicadores medibles para el mejoramiento del Programa, tanto en lo metodológico, como en lo curricular.
dc.description.abstracteng	This study has been carried out to allow the creation of a diagnostic instrument to the ability to apply knowledge of the students of the first semester of the electronic engineering program of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in the period 2019-1, being a great opportunity to monitor students and have a control tool for the evaluation process of the ABET accreditation model. With a methodological mixed route deductive-descriptive type, the project was divided into five phases, the first of them focused on the compilation and selection of information which yielded an interesting cross between the outcome one of criterion three students outcomes of the ABET accreditation model, the standards of the Colombian Ministry of Education, the entry profile to the Electronic Engineering program of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Cali and the level of application of Bloom's taxonomy theory, the second phase of the instrument's design had its core in the resulting matrix of the first phase, with emphasis on the design of questions that measure the skills and aptitudes that the student has at the time of entry due to their secondary education and thus contextualize the test at the level of skills that students present at the entry of the program. In the phase of application and analysis of results, the level of commitment of the students was evidenced and results are exposed by item, student and aptitude, the analysis was chosen by aptitudes in order to address the generality of the capacities and not by item or ask as these are specific to a subject unit. As a consequence of the above, it is evident the great utility of applying diagnostic instruments to students in their training process and thus generate a control path in order to improve educational quality and have important measurable indicators for the improvement of the Program, both in terms of the methodological, as in the curricular.
