dc.description.abstractA nivel global se encuentran múltiples estudios respecto a la relación que existe entre el sector bursátil y la economía. Este trabajo pretende analizar la dirección de la relación causal existente entre el desarrollo del mercado accionario y el crecimiento económico en Colombia. Brindándole a este campo investigativo resultados actualizados a partir del COLCAP como indicador bursátil, entre el periodo del 2013 al 2019. Esto a través del análisis de las variables definidas y sustentadas, facilitando su medición mediante un análisis econométrico a partir del punto de vista determinístico, caracterizado por test de cointegración de Johansen, modelos VEC y VAR, Causalidad de Granger y funciones de Impulso-Respuesta. Arrojando un resultado de causalidad directa del mercado accionario hacía el crecimiento económico y demostrando la sensibilidad de respuesta de la economía a choques bursátiles, permitiendo concluir que, mediante reformas estructurales del sistema bursátil del país, se puede mejorar la economía en un largo plazo y explotar las cualidades del sistema financiero no bancario en Colombia.
dc.description.abstractengWorldwide exist many investigations that studies the relation between the stock market and the economy. This work pretends to analyze the existent causality direction between the development of the stock market and the economic growth in Colombia. Giving to this investigative field, updated results by using the COLCAP as stock index during the period of 2013-2019. It is going to be done through the analysis of defined and sustained variables, allowing the measurement of its implications by using econometrical analysis, such as Johansen cointegration tests, VEC and VAR models, Granger causalities and Impulse Response functions. Presenting a result of direct causality from stock market to the economic growth and showing the response sensibility of the economy to stock market shocks, allowing to conclude that with structural reforms to the stock system in the country, the economy in long term can improve and as a result take advantage of the qualities of the financial shadow banking system in Colombia.
