dc.description.abstractEl artículo es el resultado de una investigación que se propuso reconstruir la memoria histórica de los conflictos socioambientales en el corregimiento de Robles (Jamundí-Valle del Cauca) después de la segunda mitad del siglo XX. Para cumplir con este propósito se desarrolló una metodología cualitativa y participativa, donde se diseñaron y aplicaron entrevistas semiestructuradas que indagan por temas relacionados con la dinámica socioambiental y económica del territorio, tanto en el pasado como en el presente. Se abordan los escenarios de pugna entre las comunidades, el Estado y particulares en función de sus intereses y el control del territorio. Se describen conflictos directamente relacionados con la expansión del cultivo de caña de azúcar y el deterioro ambiental producto de dicha expansión. Se concluye que en un primer momento la relación con el ecosistema se expresa desde parámetros de igualdad en el acceso y la utilización de la tierra por parte de toda la comunidad y en un segundo momento, desde la segunda mitad del siglo XX, los cambios ocasionados dentro del corregimiento afectaron las relaciones comunitarias y la dinámica agroindustrial determinó la relación de la comunidad con su entorno.
dc.description.abstractengThe article is the result of an investigation that aimed to reconstruct the historical memory of socio-environmental conflicts in the Robles district (Jamundí-Valle del Cauca) after the second half of the 20th century. To fulfill this purpose, a qualitative and participatory methodology was developed, where semi-structured interviews were designed and conducted to inquire about topics related to the socio-environmental and economic dynamics of the territory, both in the past and present. The scenarios of contention between communities, the State, and private entities are addressed based on their interests and control of the territory. Conflicts directly related to the expansion of sugarcane cultivation and environmental deterioration resulting from this expansion are described. It is concluded that initially, the relationship with the ecosystem is expressed through parameters of equality in access to and use of land by the entire community, and later, from the second half of the 20th century, changes within the district affected community relations, and the agro-industrial dynamics determined the community's relationship with its environment.
