Abstract
En Colombia, las brechas salariales por género persisten y los hombres reciben un salario mayor que las mujeres a pesar de que en los últimos años, la participación de estas en el mercado laboral ha aumentado, al igual que sus años de escolaridad. Esta investigación se basa en cómo ha evolucionado en Colombia la igualdad salarial de género, para lo cual se llevó a cabo un recorrido histórico del tratamiento legislativo sobre el tema en mención. De igual manera, se identificaron los distintos convenios y tratados internacionales sobre igualdad salarial de género ratificados y aplicados por Colombia, y finalmente, se realizó un análisis jurisprudencial para indagar si en el país existe un precedente judicial que marcara un hito para que las mujeres pudieran hacer valer sus derechos.

In Colombia, gender pay gaps persist and men receive a higher salary than women even though in recent years, their participation in the labor market has increased, as has their years of schooling. This research is based on how gender pay equality has evolved in Colombia, for which a historical review of the legislative treatment on the subject in question was carried out. Similarly, the different international conventions and treaties on gender pay equality ratified and applied by Colombia were identified, and finally, a jurisprudential analysis was carried out to investigate whether there is a judicial precedent in the country that would mark a milestone for women to be able to assert their rights.
