dc.description.abstract	El Carnaval de Negros y Blancos de Pasto fue declarado en 2009 por la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Educación, la Ciencia y la Cultura (UNESCO) como Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial de la Humanidad, reconociendo así el trabajo de los y las artistas nariñenses que mantienen vivo, año tras año, el Carnaval. El objetivo de esta investigación es comprender desde una visión ecológico-sistémica, las representaciones culturales de género construidas por las familias de artistas de las carrozas del Carnaval. Para llevar adelante esta investigación se desarrolla una estrategia metodológica en el marco del diseño etnográfico, haciendo uso de técnicas como el diario de campo, la foto-etnografía acompañada de entrevistas antropológicas, el genograma y el pódcast. Se plantea una categoría general de análisis: Representaciones culturales de género, integrada por 6 (seis) subcategorías. La comprensión de los datos se realiza desde un enfoque inclusivo de género que permite develar que los y las artistas de las dos familias participantes construyen los significados de lo masculino y lo femenino en familia y a través de diversos mecanismos socioculturales, y por tanto, se encuentran insertados en la matriz binaria del patriarcado desde sus ancestros, llevándolos a un “no darse cuenta” de la invisibilización de la mujer que se ha construido gracias a la naturalización de estereotipos de género. Aun dentro de este panorama, este estudio revela que en las generaciones actuales se presentan algunas grietas que potencian la visibilización de los aportes de las mujeres desde la construcción consensuada de Carnaval bajo una postura de resistencia y reflexión crítica.
dc.description.abstracteng	The Carnival of Blacks and Whites of Pasto was declared in 2009 by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, thus recognizing the work of the artists from Nariño who they keep Carnival alive year after year. The objective of this research is to understand from an ecological-systemic perspective, the cultural representations of gender constructed by the families of artists of the Carnival floats. To carry out this research, a methodological strategy is developed within the framework of ethnographic design, making use of techniques such as the field diary, photo-ethnography accompanied by anthropological interviews, the genogram and the podcast. A general category of analysis is proposed: Cultural representations of gender, made up of 6 (six) subcategories. The understanding of the data is carried out from an inclusive gender approach that allows to reveal that the artists of the two participating families construct the meanings of the masculine and feminine in the family and through diverse sociocultural mechanisms, and therefore, they are inserted in the binary matrix of patriarchy from their ancestors, leading them to "not realize" the invisibility of women that has been built thanks to the naturalization of gender stereotypes. Even within this panorama, this study reveals that in current generations there are some cracks that enhance the visibility of the contributions of women from the consensual construction of Carnival under a position of resistance and critical reflection.
