dc.description.abstractLa urgencia radica en el abordaje de la violencia intrafamiliar, dada su persistencia intergeneracional y sus consecuencias sociales. Su erradicación representa un desafío significativo tanto para las instituciones encargadas de la seguridad y el bienestar social como para la comunidad, la cual debe asumir un rol activo en la prevención y la transformación cultural. En este contexto, el interés investigativo se orienta hacia el siguiente objetivo general: explorar las experiencias de adultos jóvenes que fueron víctimas de violencia intrafamiliar durante su infancia. A partir de este objetivo general, se formulan tres objetivos específicos: conocer la dinámica familiar de los adultos jóvenes durante su infancia; identificar los tipos de violencia intrafamiliar vividos durante la infancia de los adultos jóvenes, y comprender cómo han enfrentado la violencia intrafamiliar vivida durante la infancia. Esta investigación adoptó un enfoque cualitativo con un paradigma interpretativo, mediante la realización de entrevistas semiestructuradas a ocho adultos jóvenes de Armenia (Quindío) y Garzón (Huila), quienes estuvieron expuestos a distintos tipos de violencia intrafamiliar durante su infancia. Los hallazgos revelan patrones de relaciones familiares disfuncionales, la naturalización de la violencia como forma de crianza y la construcción de mecanismos de afrontamiento, como el distanciamiento afectivo, la resignificación de la experiencia y la búsqueda de apoyo externo. Estos resultados subrayan la urgencia de intervenciones integrales y preventivas orientadas a la reparación psicoemocional y al fortalecimiento de vínculos afectivos saludables. Se concluye que comprender las vivencias de estos jóvenes permite visibilizar los efectos a largo plazo de la violencia intrafamiliar y aporta insumos valiosos para diseñar estrategias de intervención temprana que contribuyan a romper el ciclo intergeneracional de la violencia.spa
dc.description.abstractThe urgency lies in addressing domestic violence, given its intergenerational persistence and social consequences. Its eradication represents a significant challenge for both the institutions responsible for security and social welfare and the community, which must take an active role in prevention and cultural transformation. In this context, the research interest is directed toward the following general objective: to explore the experiences of young adults who were victims of domestic violence during their childhood. Based on this general objective, three specific objectives are formulated: to understand the family dynamics of young adults during their childhood; to identify the types of domestic violence experienced during their childhood; and to comprehend how they have coped with the domestic violence they experienced. This research adopted a qualitative approach with an interpretive paradigm, conducting semi-structured interviews with eight young adults from Armenia (Quindío) and Garzón (Huila), who were exposed to various forms of domestic violence during childhood. The findings reveal patterns of dysfunctional family relationships, the normalization of violence as a parenting method, and the development of coping mechanisms such as emotional distancing, reframing the experience, and seeking external support. These results highlight the urgency of comprehensive and preventive interventions aimed at psycho-emotional healing and the strengthening of healthy emotional bonds. It is concluded that understanding the experiences of these young people makes it possible to shed light on the long-term effects of domestic violence and provides valuable input for designing early intervention strategies that help break the intergenerational cycle of violence.eng
