dc.description.abstractEste trabajo examina la resistencia en el territorio indígena de Mapachico, destacando el papel fundamental de las mujeres en este proceso. El departamento de Nariño, ubicado en el suroccidente de Colombia, enfrenta riesgos debido a la actividad volcánica del Galeras, lo que ha llevado al gobierno a implementar planes de reasentamiento. Sin embargo, estos planes no han contado con la participación de la comunidad, generando resistencia y la organización del Cabildo indígena Quillasinga. La comunidad de Mapachico ha trabajado para recuperar su identidad y consolidarse como un Cabildo independiente, liderando acciones de cuidado del territorio y fortaleciendo su relación con el medio ambiente. Desde 2014, las mujeres de la comunidad han sido líderes en este proceso, destacando en las mingas de pensamiento y la protección de su territorio.
dc.description.abstractengThis work examines the resistance in the indigenous territory of Mapachico, highlighting the fundamental role of women in this process. The department of Nariño, located in southwestern Colombia, faces risks due to the volcanic activity of Galeras, leading the government to implement resettlement plans. However, these plans have not included community participation, generating resistance and the organization of the Quillasinga Indigenous Council. The Mapachico community has worked to recover its identity and consolidate itself as an independent Council, leading actions to care for the territory and strengthen its relationship with the environment. Since 2014, the women of the community have been leaders in this process, excelling in the thought mingas and the protection of their territory.
