dc.description.abstractCaso hipotético de arbitraje internacional entre EcoVerde S.A., una empresa colombiana dedicada a la producción de biocombustibles, y la República de Francia. EcoVerde S.A. alega que una nueva ley francesa, que restringe la producción de biocombustibles y establece altos impuestos sobre el uso de recursos hídricos, constituye una expropiación indirecta de su inversión, violando el Tratado Bilateral de Inversión entre Colombia y Francia. Al no encontrar una solución amistosa, la empresa lleva el caso a un tribunal arbitral internacional para resolver la disputa.
dc.description.abstractengHypothetical case of international arbitration between EcoVerde S.A., a Colombian company dedicated to the production of biofuels, and the Republic of France. EcoVerde S.A. claims that a new French law, which restricts the production of biofuels and imposes high taxes on the use of water resources, constitutes an indirect expropriation of its investment, violating the Bilateral Investment Treaty between Colombia and France. Unable to find an amicable solution, the company takes the case to an international arbitral tribunal to resolve the dispute.
