dc.description.abstract	La Dignidad Humana desde su concepto filosófico y legal dentro del derecho, es un factor fundamental para el desarrollo de los seres humanos, garantizando la vida humana en sus condiciones mínimas necesarias para un buen vivir. Lo anterior, cobra aún más importancia en Colombia como un Estado social de derecho, que, a través del rol de sus instituciones públicas, pero en especial del juez constitucional, desarrolla la Dignidad Humana de sus ciudadanos. No obstante, bajo su precepto constitucional y el reconocimiento del pluralismo étnico en Colombia, nace la tensión entre una efectiva garantía de la autonomía indígena y a la protección de la Dignidad Humana ante la práctica de la mutilación genital femenina en la comunidad indígena Embera Chamí.
dc.description.abstracteng	Human Dignity from its philosophical concept and legal development within the law, is a fundamental factor in the life and development of human beings, guaranteeing the materialization of the basic necessary for human life. This is even more important in Colombia as a Social State of Law, which, through the role of its public institutions but especially the role of the constitutional judge, develops Human Dignity in its citizens. However, under its constitutional development and the recognition of ethnic pluralism in Colombia, a tension arises between an effective guarantee of indigenous autonomy and the protection of Human Dignity from the practice of female genital mutilation in the Embera Chamí indigenous community in Colombia.
