dc.description.abstractEn Colombia, la salud es un derecho fundamental. Sin embargo, el sistema de salud atraviesa un momento de incertidumbre debido a los cambios legislativos y las acciones del gobierno. En este contexto, consideramos que la Clínica Rey David tiene una excelente oportunidad para destacar, aprovechando su experiencia en la atención a adultos y adultos mayores. La clínica puede centrarse en ofrecer una atención integral y empática, alineada con las necesidades y expectativas de los pacientes y sus familias. Aplicando la Quíntuple Meta, la Clínica Rey David podrá implementar un Modelo de Atención Integral que mejore la experiencia del paciente, ofrezca mejores resultados de salud, optimice los costos, asegure el bienestar de su personal y alcance la equidad en salud. Para ello, se deben definir rutas de atención claras, seguras y costo-efectivas desde el ingreso del paciente, garantizando oportunidad, continuidad y pertinencia en las intervenciones especializadas. Además, es crucial una adecuada articulación con la familia y/o cuidadores, alineándose con los niveles primarios de atención. Finalmente, la clínica debe promover la educación en la adopción de hábitos saludables y la adherencia a los programas de salud, tanto a nivel individual como colectivo, según el riesgo en salud de cada paciente
dc.description.abstractengIn Colombia, health is a fundamental right. However, the health system is going through a time of uncertainty due to legislative changes and government actions. In this context, we believe that the Rey David Clinic has an excellent opportunity to stand out, taking advantage of its experience in caring for adults and the elderly. The clinic can focus on offering comprehensive and empathetic care, aligned with the needs and expectations of patients and their families. By applying the Quintuple Goal, the Rey David Clinic will be able to implement a Comprehensive Care Model that improves the patient experience, offers better health outcomes, optimizes costs, ensures the well-being of its staff and achieves equity in health. To do so, clear, safe and cost-effective care routes must be defined from the patient's admission, guaranteeing timeliness, continuity and relevance in specialized interventions. In addition, adequate coordination with the family and/or caregivers is crucial, aligning with the primary levels of care. Finally, the clinic should promote education in the adoption of healthy habits and adherence to health programs, both at individual and collective level, according to the health risk of each patient.
