dc.description.abstractEl SARS-CoV-2 fue concebido inicialmente como un síndrome principalmente respiratorio. Sin embargo, muy pronto comenzó a acumularse evidencia que revelaba el ataque del virus a otros órganos, incluyendo el sistema nervioso. Por lo tanto, el presente estudio se centra en describir el funcionamiento ejecutivo, atencional y mnésico de un grupo de personas con afectaciones generales, neurológicas y cognitivas tras 12 semanas de superar la fase aguda de Covid-19. Para ello se caracterizó los principales síntomas según el tipo de afectación ya referida, se determinó los niveles de funcionamiento ejecutivo, atencional y mnésico y se describió las principales afectaciones del funcionamiento en cada uno de los dominios de las personas que presentaron alteraciones leves, moderadas o severas en la evaluación neuropsicológica. Esta investigación tiene un enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo descriptivo, de corte no experimental-transversal, el instrumento utilizado en el estudio fue la prueba Neuropsi, atención y memoria tercera edición. Se concluye que los síntomas generales más frecuentes son el cansancio, la opresión torácica y artralgias, mientras que los síntomas neurológicos y cognitivos son la cefalea, la memoria y concentración respectivamente. Finalmente, en el perfil de registro de la prueba NEUROPSI se evidenció que el dominio con mayor alteración es la memoria con afectación en los dos canales visual y audio verbal en ambas modalidades de codificación y evocación.
dc.description.abstractengSARS-CoV-2 was initially conceived as a primarily respiratory syndrome. However, evidence soon began to accumulate revealing the attack of the virus on other organs, including the nervous system. Therefore, the present study focuses on describing the executive, attentional and memory functioning of a group of individuals with general, neurological and cognitive impairments after 12 weeks of overcoming the acute phase of Covid-19. For this purpose, the main symptoms were characterized according to the type of impairment already mentioned, the levels of executive, attentional and memory functioning were determined and the main impairments of functioning in each of the domains of the persons who presented mild, moderate or severe alterations in the neuropsychological evaluation were described. This research has a quantitative, descriptive, non-experimental-transversal approach, the instrument used in the study was the Neuropsi test, attention and memory third edition. It is concluded that the most frequent general symptoms are fatigue, chest tightness and arthralgias, while the neurological and cognitive symptoms are headache, memory and concentration respectively. Finally in the registration profile of the NEUROPSI test it was evidenced that the domain with greater alteration is memory with affectation in the two visual and audio-verbal channels in both encoding and evocation modalities.
