dc.description.abstractEl objetivo general del presente estudio consiste en analizar el estado de la cuestión sobre el fenómeno del clientelismo en el sistema político colombiano en los últimos 10 años. Para cumplir con este objetivo fue necesario realizar una revisión documental bibliográfica con el fin de conocer como se ha desarrollado el clientelismo en Colombia, identificando cuatro capas de lectura, las cuales se estructuraron así: la primera contiene una descripción de lo que se entiende por clientelismo, y su impacto en el sistema político. La segunda expone la relación entre clientelismo y partidos políticos, la tercera aborda el tema de la corrupción y las redes trasnacionales. Finalmente, se presentan los estudios subnacionales sobre las manifestaciones que ha tenido el fenómeno en algunos sectores del contexto colombiano. Los principales resultados muestran que el clientelismo político en Colombia se ha ido adaptando a las transformaciones políticas, sociales y económicas de las últimas décadas; y además evolucionando hasta llegar a la descentralización, la cooptación y la creciente influencia de actores privados e ilícitos. Se ha reintegrado y perpetuado en el sistema político donde las prácticas cada vez son más sofisticadas y con mayor alcance; y se ha convertido en un mecanismo de consolidación del poder político en áreas locales, donde la violencia y la cooptación de recursos estatales juegan un papel crucial.spa
dc.description.abstractThe overall objective of this project is to analyze the situation regarding the phenomenon of clientelism in the Colombian political system over the last 10 years. To achieve this objective, it was necessary to conduct a documentary and bibliographic review in order to understand how clientelism has developed in Colombia, identifying four layers of interpretation, which were structured as follows: the first contains a description of what is meant by clientelism and its impact on the political system. The second explains the relationship between patronage and political parties, while the third addresses the issue of corruption and transnational networks. Finally, subnational studies on the manifestations of the phenomenon in certain sectors of the Colombian context are presented. The main findings show that political clientelism in Colombia has adapted to the political, social, and economic transformations of recent decades, evolving to include decentralization, co-optation, and the growing influence of private and illicit actors. It has been reintegrated and perpetuated in the political system, where practices are becoming increasingly sophisticated and far-reaching, and has become a mechanism for consolidating political power in local areas, where violence and the co-optation of state resources play a crucial role.eng
