dc.description.abstractEl acueducto comunitario Acuapaltres, ubicado en el municipio de Restrepo, Valle del Cauca, y alimentado por medio de 2 bocatomas de las quebradas Calimitas y El Sinaí, se encuentra en condiciones desfavorables asociadas con la escasez y mala calidad de agua, impidiendo la prestación de un adecuado servicio, tal como se evidenció en las visitas de campo realizadas en los meses de abril y agosto de 2021. Para la problemática planteada, se presentan alternativas de diseño buscando mejorar la calidad de agua que distribuye este acueducto para las diferentes veredas de la zona, tales como implementar una planta FiME, una planta de tratamiento de agua compacta o un desarenador. Cada alternativa tiene sus restricciones, las cuales se consideran en el momento de escoger la más viable: la planta FiME por ejemplo, implica retos legales para poder expandir el terreno y lograr su construcción. Con la matriz de decisión se seleccionó la instalación de un desarenador elevado (sobre los tanques) por temas de espacio. Los desarenadores tienen por finalidad propiciar la sedimentación y garantizar luego la evacuación de las partículas sólidas que hayan ingresado a través de un canal de conducción.Como soporte para el diseño presentado, se realizaron una serie de visitas y estudios topográficos, geotécnicos e hidrológicos. Para finalizar se establecieron los costos finales del proyecto, a través de un respectivo análisis de presupuesto y cantidades acorde con la obra diseñada, y un cronograma de actividades estimado.
dc.description.abstractengThe Acuapaltres community aqueduct, located in the municipality of Restrepo, Valle del Cauca, and fed through 2 intakes from the Calimitas and El Sinaí streams, is in unfavorable conditions associated with the shortage and poor quality of water, preventing the provision of an adequate service, as evidenced in the field visits carried out in the months of April and August 2021. For the problem raised, design alternatives are presented seeking to improve the quality of water distributed by this aqueduct to the different paths in the area, such as implementing a FiME plant, a compact water treatment plant or a sand trap. Each alternative has its restrictions, which are considered when choosing the most viable one: the FiME plant, for example, involves legal challenges to be able to expand the land and achieve its construction. With the decision matrix, the installation of an elevated sand trap (above the tanks) was selected due to space issues. The purpose of the sand traps is to promote sedimentation and then guarantee the evacuation of solid particles that have entered through a conduction channel. As support for the design presented, a series of visits and topographic, geotechnical and hydrological studies were carried out. Finally, the final costs of the project were established, through a respective analysis of the budget and quantities in accordance with the designed work, and an estimated schedule of activities.
