dc.description.abstractLa realidad de los habitantes de calle en Cali, Colombia, plantea desafíos significativos en términos de inclusión social. La presente investigación fue un estudio cualitativo de tipo narrativo, cuyo objetivo general fue analizar los factores psicosociales protectores y de riesgo que influyeron en los procesos de inclusión social de personas mayores de edad que fueron habitantes de calle en la ciudad de Cali, Colombia. Para ello se realizó un análisis de las experiencias y percepciones de siete exhabitantes de calle por medio de entrevistas semiestructuradas en profundidad. El proceso de recolección de datos incluyó la validación de las preguntas del instrumento por dos jueces expertos en psicología social. Los hallazgos revelaron la importancia de factores como las redes de apoyo, la autoestima, y la autonomía, y la influencia de factores de riesgo como la violencia, las condiciones de vida y el estigma en la inclusión social de esta población. Se destacó la necesidad d ere estructurar y aplicar las políticas públicas colaborando la academia y el gobierno local para abordar esta problemática de manera más específica. Las conclusiones apuntaron a la relevancia de considerar los aspectos psicosociales en la formulación de intervenciones y políticas incluyentes.
dc.description.abstractengThe reality of street dwellers in Cali, Colombia, poses significant challenges in terms of social inclusion. The present research was a qualitative narrative study, whose general objective was to analyze the psychosocial protective and risk factors that influenced the social inclusion processes of older people who were homeless in the city of Cali, Colombia. To this end, an analysis of the experiences and perceptions of seven former street residents was carried out through in-depth semi-structured interviews. The data collection process included the validation of the instrument's questions by two expert judges in social psychology. The findings revealed the importance of factors such as support networks, self-esteem, and autonomy, and the influence of risk factors such as violence, living conditions, and stigma on the social inclusion of this population. The need to structure and apply public policies by collaborating with academia and local government to address this problem in a more specific way was highlighted. The conclusions pointed to the relevance of considering psychosocial aspects in the formulation of inclusive interventions and policies.
