dc.description.abstract	“La Sucursal en Disputa” es un proyecto del Colectivo Diverse (Laura Benítez y Daniela Gómez) que, desde las artes visuales, busca visibilizar y reflexionar sobre la diversidad de género y las identidades no normativas en Cali mediante un evento tipo Ballroom —happening performático inspirado en la cultura queer de Nueva York— como espacio artístico, educativo y seguro donde se cuestionan los roles de género y se promueve la inclusión. A partir de referentes como Simone de Beauvoir, Judith Butler, Guerrilla Girls y el documental Paris is Burning, el proyecto propone romper con los estereotipos binarios y crear comunidad a través del arte, el performance, la moda y el baile. El evento, realizado en Río Studio, reunió participantes de distintas identidades en categorías que exaltan la autenticidad, la expresión libre y la deconstrucción del género, reafirmando al arte como herramienta de resistencia, diálogo y transformación social.	spa
dc.description.abstracteng	“La Sucursal en Disputa” is a project by the Diverse Collective (Laura Benítez and Daniela Gómez) that, through visual arts, seeks to make gender diversity and non-normative identities in Cali visible and open to reflection. It does so through a Ballroom-type event —a performative happening inspired by New York’s queer culture— serving as an artistic, educational, and safe space where gender roles are questioned and inclusion is promoted. Drawing on references such as Simone de Beauvoir, Judith Butler, Guerrilla Girls, and the documentary Paris is Burning, the project aims to break binary stereotypes and build community through art, performance, fashion, and dance. The event, held at Río Studio, brought together participants of diverse identities in categories that celebrate authenticity, free expression, and gender deconstruction, reaffirming art as a tool for resistance, dialogue, and social transformation.
