dc.description.abstractEl objetivo de esta investigación fue analizar los elementos que promueven la relevancia personal y cultural en las interacciones educativas de seis secuencias didácticas del área de Ciencias Naturales: Biología, Física y Química, en una institución pública de la ciudad de Palmira. En este estudio participaron tres maestros de Ciencias y 35 estudiantes de noveno grado. A partir de observaciones y aplicación de cuestionarios se identificaron las actividades, evaluaciones y verbalizaciones de los maestros que promovieron relevancia personal y cultural, y la percepción de los estudiantes y maestros sobre las conexiones que se promueven entre los contenidos académicos, la vida y el contexto de los estudiantes. Se identificaron 40 verbalizaciones de los maestros que incluyeron elementos de relevancia. El análisis de las mismas indica que la promoción de esta en las seis clases se mantuvo en niveles medios y bajos; es decir, que los maestros promovieron la relevancia de forma general y superficial. De igual forma, se encontró que los estudiantes percibieron niveles medios bajos en la promoción de relevancia y, al contrario, los maestros percibieron niveles altos medios sobre la promoción de relevancia. Finalmente se discuten los resultados, las implicaciones y las recomendaciones que surgen a partir de lo identificado en esta investigación.
dc.description.abstractengThe objective of this research was to analyze the elements that promote personal and cultural relevance in the educational interactions of six didactic sequences in the area of Natural Sciences: Biology, Physics and Chemistry, in a public institution in the city of Palmira. Three Science teachers and 35 ninth grade students participated in this study. Based on observations and the application of questionnaires, the activities, evaluations and verbalizations of the teachers that promoted personal and cultural relevance were identified, as well as the perception of the students and teachers about the connections that are promoted between the academic content, life and the context of the students. Forty verbalizations of the teachers were identified that included elements of relevance. The analysis of these indicates that the promotion of this in the six classes remained at medium and low levels; that is, that the teachers promoted relevance in a general and superficial way. Likewise, it was found that the students perceived low average levels in the promotion of relevance and, on the contrary, the teachers perceived high average levels on the promotion of relevance. Finally, the results, implications and recommendations that arise from what was identified in this research are discussed.
