dc.description.abstractEl proyecto surge ante el riesgo de pérdida de los saberes ancestrales afropacíficos sobre el viche y su vínculo con la salud sexual y reproductiva femenina, conocimientos transmitidos históricamente de manera oral y amenazados, desde hace décadas hasta hoy, por el desplazamiento, el conflicto y la ruptura generacional. Estos saberes, fundamentales para el bienestar femenino y la identidad cultural de la comunidad, requieren ser visibilizados, documentados y preservados. El libro busca justamente reconocer, valorar y dar continuidad a estas voces, poniendo en diálogo territorio, cuerpo y tradición.spa
dc.description.abstractThe project arises from the risk of losing the Afropacific ancestral knowledge about viche and its connection to women’s sexual and reproductive health—knowledge historically transmitted orally and threatened, for decades up to the present, by displacement, conflict, and generational rupture. This knowledge, essential for women’s well-being and for the cultural identity of the community, needs to be made visible, documented, and preserved. The book seeks precisely to recognize, value, and give continuity to these voices, bringing territory, body, and tradition into dialogue.eng
